Outdoor Queer Yoga at Hinckley Park
Friday at 5:30pm | June 27, July 18, August 22
We're taking this class outside for the summer at Hinckley Park in South Portland. Class honors queerness by inviting curiosity, consent and authenticity into our practice. Choice-based instruction will provide options so you can explore the version of a shape that's right for you. The aim of this offering is a queer affirming space to move gently (or not) and connect with ourselves and each other (if you want!). We are joined by our friends Kindling Collective for this sweet monthly offering!
Class takes place at Hinckley Park in South Portland. Come a bit early to give yourself enough time to park and walk to the field!
Need a ride? We will send a carpool spreadsheet to all folks who register for class ahead of time.
Please bring a mat! Don't have one? We'll have a few extra to borrow, but just in case, we recommend you bring a towel :)

Creative Connection: An Outdoor Guided Meditation Workshop
Sunday, August 10 at 8-9:30am
Join local artist and meditation guide Tara Rook for a peaceful outdoor gathering in honor of the August full moon. Under the soft morning sky, we’ll come together in mindfulness, creativity and quiet connection. We begin with a grounding meditation to relax your body, settle your breath and connect to the earth. In this place of presence, you’ll begin to observe the world around you through color, shape, movement and stillness. We’ll then take time to journal inner and outer reflections. Each participant will receive a pocket-sized Magic Mind sketchbook created by Tara, a simple and beautiful tool to record your thoughts.
Class takes place at Fort Sumner Park, also known at the Top of the World park in the east end.
